- BMW C400 GT India launch soon
- Teased on social media channels
- 50 maxi-scooters already booked
BMW Motorrad has decided to expand its India product portfolio by bringing in their first scooter – the C400 GT. According to the company’s social media, this maxi-scooter will be launched in India very soon.
Once launched, the C400 GT will possibly be one of the coolest two-wheelers to own in India. The combination of large body proportions, features and the ability to be ridden by anyone in the family makes it quite enticing. In fact, the C400 GT can be used for touring activities along with daily city commuting. Powering this maxi-scooter is a 350cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that makes around 33bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque of 35Nm. The company claims a top-speed of 139kmph which is decent, considering the fact that it weighs 214kgs.
Just like other BMWs other there, the C400 GT also gets a hosts of modern features. There’s ride-by-wire, ABS, keyless ignition and some more. There’s also the option to go for additional equipment like heated grips and seat, anti-theft alarm system and Bluetooth instrument cluster. The German brand also sells various accessories for this scooter to make it touring friendly. So things like top case, windshield options, Navigator and dual USB charging cable can also be purchased separately.
We are expecting the C400 GT to be launched in India very soon but with a price tag that will obviously make it the most expensive scooter in the country. But there are a lot of Indians who don’t mind spending a couple of lakh for a product that will give them a lot of bragging rights. In fact, our sources tell us that close to 50 units of the C400 GT have already been booked.
