- Rider needs to use sign language

- Sensors placed at the end of handlebar

BMW Motorrad has patented a super interesting technology for motorcycles. The company recently applied for gesture control system for motorcycles.

According to the leaked patent drawings, this gesture system is being mounted at the end of the handlebar and other places like the underside of the rear view mirrors or even handguards. The rider is expected to use gestures to control various settings on the motorcycles. There are chances of things like changing Bluetooth settings, activating navigation system and cruise settings could be done using this system.

We can expect the German brand to introduce this new system in their adventure touring range to start with. So bikes like the R1250 and the GS are likely to get this system first.
