Along with the GSX-8R, Suzuki has also unveiled the GSX-S1000GX at the EICMA 2023. It is the Japanese two-wheeler maker’s newest crossover offering and packs a lot of fancy bits and bobs.
The GSX-S1000GX has taken a radical approach on the design front. Its fascia houses twin LED projector lights, of which one is placed above the nose and the other sits slightly lower. These are flanked by LED DRLs and topped by a transparent visor. The side profile contains sharply designed panels neatly integrated with the radiator cover. The fuel tank also has knee recesses to hold it tightly at high speeds.
Suzuki has used a 999cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. Its power and torque figures haven’t been revealed as of now. The GSX-S1000GX’s rider aids include ride modes, traction control, active damping control, ride-by-wire, ABS, lift limiter, automatic rear suspension adjustment, bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, and a 6.5-inch TFT to monitor various parameters.
The new Suzuki GSX-S1000GX rides on USD front forks and a monoshock, both adjustable. Then, the brakes include dual 310mm front discs and a single rear disc with ABS. These are mounted onto 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 190/50 rear tyres.
Suzuki has currently unveiled the bike for the international market only. Its chances of being launched in India are quite low.
