- F 450GS production model to be launched early next year
- Bike will be fully made in India
- India launch in mid-2025
Just a day ago, BMW Motorrad unveiled its new adventure bike concept, the F 450GS, at EICMA 2025. Now, we have exclusive information that the production-ready F 450GS will be launched in the European market early next year.
BMW Motorrad in Germany has developed the F 450GS concept and the 450cc platform. The company claims that this bike has been completely developed by them. However, the F 450GS will be fully manufactured by TVS in India and exported worldwide. The German brand believes that there’s a huge gap between the 310 and 900 segments, and the new 450s will fill this gap.
From the concept pictures, it is clear that it gets proper GS DNA. But a lot of focus has gone into making it a compact and light motorcycle. This 450cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine makes 48bhp of peak power and a maximum torque of 45Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
BMW has decided to equip the bike with fully adjustable USD forks, proper off-road tyres, a 6.5-inch TFT screen and also lean-sensitive ABS along with multiple riding modes. Most of these features will make its way to the production model.
This new 450cc platform will eventually replace the current 310 motorcycles. BMW is also considering developing a street bike which could be called the F 450R. There's also a possibility of a supersport or an RR version on the 450 platform much like the 310s. The production variant of the F 450GS will be launched in India around mid-2025, but expect a price tag to hover between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
