Bounce – a Bengaluru based two-wheeler rental company is planning to enter the world of EV manufacturing. The company is planning to launch their first electric scooter in India this year.
Currently, the company has only released a teaser picture of this upcoming EV and from the looks of it, it looks like a standard scooter. The silhouette doesn’t suggest any sharp or fancy styling that is seen on the Ather. It looks like the company would want to position this as a mass market e-scooter.
A few months ago, the company had acquired 22Motors – an EV company. As a part of this acquisition, Bounce gets access to their IP rights and also manufacturing plant in Rajasthan. So we can expect this new e-scooter to be manufactured at the same plant.
