The limited-edition Brabus 1300 R has been revealed for the international markets. The pre-orders of this KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO-based motorcycle would commence from 14 February, 2022 onwards. Unfortunately, there are no plans to introduce this model in the Indian market. Here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the new Brabus 1300 R.
While the Brabus 1300 R is based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO, it gets a completely new design. These include a round headlight at the front with a carbon fibre mask, air-ducts on the fuel tank, and a rear carbon seat cowl instead of a pillion seat.
The 1300 R also gets a carbon-fibre skid-plate, forged Brabus monoblock Z wheels, and a custom-made heated seat.
Brabus customised hardware on the 1300 R comprises CNC-machined triple clamps, CNC-machined adjustable front brake and clutch lever, CNC-machined adjustable footpegs, and CNC-machined reservoirs and oil tank caps.
The Brabus 1300 R will be available in two colours – Magma Red and Signature Black. Brabus will produce just 154 units of the motorcycle (77 units of two colour options each).
The feature list on the new Brabus 1300 R is similar to the 1290 Super Duke R EVO. Thus, it gets all-LED lighting, and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
The electronic rider aids include five riding modes (Street, Sport, Rain, Performance, and Track), ABS, traction control, engine brake control, and cruise control system among others.
The mechanical specifications retain the same 1,301cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor as the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the twin-cylinder engine makes 180bhp of power and 140Nm of peak torque.
The shock absorption and braking hardware remain similar to the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO edition. Thus, the Brabus 1300 R uses WP APEX semi-active suspension, a WP APEX PRO 7117 steering damper, and Brembo-sourced callipers.
