- Scrambler-style Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle spotted in Pune
- Appears to be production-ready
- India launch details unavailable yet
The upcoming Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle has arrived in India and the motorcycle was spotted at the company’s plant in Pune, Maharashtra. While the two brands are yet to announce the launch timeline for this motorcycle, it looks almost production-ready and we should see the final product in the first half of 2023.
The company has managed to keep the mechanical specifications under wraps. However, multiple spy images have confirmed that this new motorcycle will use a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled setup. Thus, we expect to see healthy power output numbers from the motor. The details about the displacement aren’t available either but we may see this motorcycle arrive in the 250-350cc segment and rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 in the Indian market. Similar to other modern-retro Triumph products, the drivechain sits on the right side of the motorcycle.
In terms of styling, this motorcycle will feature a retro design and will come equipped with a round headlight, round shape for the turn indicators, a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank with an asymmetrically-mounted chrome filler cap, a flat single-piece saddle, and a twin-barrel side-slung exhaust. The instrument cluster isn’t visible in the new spy images but we would not be surprised to see a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT screen on this motorcycle.
Do note that Bajaj-Triumph will offer at least two products based on this new platform at launch. The one seen at the company’s plant is the scrambler-style version while a road-biased model was spotted in Europe earlier this year.
