- Transalp 800 adventure bike leaked
- Gets HRC paint scheme
- World unveil likely at 2022 EICMA
The picture that the world has been waiting for is finally out. The soon-to-be-unveiled Honda Transalp 800 has been spotted in the wild.
The leaked picture looks like it was taken during a shoot. This makes us believe that there’s a very high chance that Honda will unveil the Transalp at the 2022 EICMA Show in Italy. The spotted bike was wearing the HRC colours – red, white, and blue and this could be the top-end model.
In terms of overall styling, it gets some styling cues from the Africa Twin, but the Transalp manages to look more like a road-biased variant rather than off-road. However, the bike does have a 21-inch spoke wheel at the front. So, this motorcycle should be good for off-road riding.
Powering the Transalp will be a brand new 800cc parallel-twin engine developed by Honda. The same engine will go on the Hornet roadster which is likely to be unveiled this year. With this motor, the Japanese brand is planning to take on the Yamaha Tenere 700.
We are quite excited to see this bike in person, which might happen either later this year or early next year. In India, it will be priced around Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom, and we can also see a DCT version.
