-Crossfire 500 X gets adjustable suspension
-Powered by a 486cc, twin-cylinder engine
Austrian manufacturer Brixton Motorcycles has entered India with as many as five two-wheelers. One of these is the Crossfire 500 X which is a modern-classic roadster. It is a more road-biased sibling of the Crossfire XC scrambler and priced at Rs. 4.74 lakh, ex-showroom.
Starting with the heart of the matter, powering the Crossfire 500 X is a 486cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 47bhp at 8,500rpm and 43Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The kerb weight of the bike stands at 190kg which, for reference, is lighter than the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The fuel tank capacity of the bike stands at 13.5 litres.
It rides on gorgeous-looking 17-inch spoke wheels that are shod with road-biased Pirelli rubbers. Suspension duties are handled by upside-down forks and a monoshock, both being adjustable and sourced from Kayaba. Braking is handled by a single disc brake at both ends with J. Juan calipers accompanied by a Bosch ABS system. Other features of the bike include an LED lighting setup and an inverted LCD dash with just the vital data.
