-New modern-classic motorcycle
-Powered by a 1222cc, twin-cylinder engine
-Gets LED lights and TFT display
The Brixton Cromwell 1200 has been launched in India at Rs 7.84 lakh, ex-showroom. The Cromwell 1200 is a modern classic motorcycle and it certainly looks the part. With the round LED headlight, the chunky 6-litre fuel tank, neatly designed side panels and the thin mudguard that doubles up as the tail section, the Cromwell looks distinct yet purposefully retro.
Powering the bike is a 1222cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that makes 82bhp at 6,550rpm and 108Nm at 3,100rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Brixton claims the engine can propel the Cromwell to a top speed of 198kmph.
In terms of features, the bike gets all-LED lights, a TFT display, USB port, traction control, cruise control, ABS and two ride modes-Eco and Sport.
The Cromwell 1200 employs a double downtube cradle frame that is suspended by a KYB telescopic fork at the front with 120mm travel and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 310mm discs at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear. The bike rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke rims.
Brixton Motorcycles is an Austrian company that has collaborated with Kaw Veloce Motors in India to form MotoHaus which will retail the Cromwell 1200 among other Brixton motorcycles that have been launched. Deliveries are set to begin in January 2025.
