- Based on the Brixton Cromwell 1200
- Features a neo-retro ADV styling
- Powered by a 1,222cc parallel-twin motor
Austrian bike maker Brixton Motorcycles recently announced its plans to enter the Indian market with four new motorcycles. While that is still some time away, the company seems to be working on a new neo-retro adventure tourer, the Brixton Storr 1200. Patent images of the bike have been leaked online.
Adventure bikes such as the Ducati DesertX, Husqvarna Norden 901, and the Moto Guzzi V85 have become quite popular in Europe for their neo-retro design theme. With the Storr 1200, Brixton seems to be eyeing this segment of buyers in the old continent.
Judging by the leaked patent images, the Storr 1200 seems to be based on the Brixton Cromwell 1200 modern-retro roadster. It is likely to use the 1,222cc, parallel-twin motor that makes 83bhp and 108Nm. On the adventure tourer, the engine is expected to pump out more torque, which is likely to be around 120Nm.
The chassis looks similar to the Cromwell 1200, but the sub-frame seems to be slightly different. It is suspended on inverted front forks and a pair of shock absorbers that are mounted directly onto the swingarm. Meanwhile, the motorcycle seems to be running on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels combination.
Reports suggest that the upcoming Brixton Storr 1200 could be launched in Europe in 2025. While it's too early to predict its India launch, Brixton could consider the Storr 1200 for India sometime in late 2025.
