-Powered by a 652cc, single-cylinder engine
-Makes 45bhp and 55Nm
The BSA Gold Star is all set to be launched in India on 15 August. The company has released a teaser for the upcoming launch and fans of the classic British marque will finally get a chance of owning a modern-retro BSA in the country.
The BSA Gold Star has been on sale in International markets for some time now and while the bike has been spotted testing a number of times in India, it is finally ready to hit the Indian market.
The BSA Gold Star is heavily inspired by the original bike, evident from the design of the fuel tank, curved fenders, and the side panel. The generous amount of chrome all around adds to the retro theme of the bike.
Powering the Gold Star is a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 45bhp and 55Nm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
As for hardware, the motorcycle has a cradle frame with a telescopic fork up front and twin springs at the rear. The bike rides on wire-spoke wheels. Meanwhile, braking duties are taken care of by a single disc at both ends and ABS are fitted as standard.
The BSA Gold Star is aimed squarely at the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. We expect the price of the bike to be around Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 3.3 lakh.
