- Developed for bikes like RC390, Apache RR 310
CEAT has launched a new range of tyres for premium commuter and sports bikes. These tyres are called Sportrad and Crossrad.
The Sportrad radial range has been developed for premium motorcycles in the 300cc-400cc segment and the primary features for it are the cornering grip and stability. The company claims that this has been achieved by having slick shoulders for extreme lean angles and an optimized groove design for better-wet grip. This tyre can hold great stability at high speeds too. The Sportrad tyres have been priced at Rs 12,500 for a set and are currently available in two sizes – 110/70 ZR17 and 150/60 ZR17.
The Crossrad tyres are primarily focused on motorcycles that can also do a bit of off-road. This is why this tyre offers 60 roads and 40 off-road splits. The Crossrad gets an asymmetrical block tread design and transversal grooves. These features help in provide better control in rough and off-road terrains. As of now, this tyre is available only in 140/60 R17 size and has been priced at Rs 4300.
