CF Moto 650MT spied testing ahead of its India launch

- CF Moto will launch the 650MT in July

- Will also launch the 300NK, 650NK and 650MT

- All bikes will come as CKD (completely knocked down) models

CF Moto, a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, is all set to start its operations in India in the month of July. As we had reported a few days back, the company will enter with a group of motorcycles which include the 300NK, 650NK, 650GT and the 650MT. While CF Moto bikes were spied in India on several occasions before, the 650MT was recently spotted testing once again.

Similar to the previous spy shots, the bike appears to be camouflaged this time as well. However, it still shows the 650MT’s sports tourer styling with a distinctive headlamp design, fairing-mounted turn indicators, tall windscreen and a sharp fairing which merges with the sculpted fuel tank. It also gets a radiator guard which further extends to protect the fairing. Being true to its touring ethos, the 650MT gets a combination of scooped seat, single unit handlebar and centre-set footpegs which suggest it will offer fairly comfortable ergonomics. While the spied mule missed out on pannier frames which are available on the international-spec model, we expect them to be offered as optional accessories. 

Powering the 650MT is CF Moto’s 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which pumps out 70bhp at 7,000rpm and 62Nm at 7,000rpm. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the same mill does duty on the 650NK and 650GT as well. The sports tourer is equipped with upside down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware consists of a pair of discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. With the fuel tank capacity of 18litres, the motorcycle tips the scale at 213kg. 

CF Moto will bring the motorcycles as CKD (completely knocked down) models and they will be assembled at the company’s Bangalore facility. In the initial phase, the company is planning to set up five dealerships in major cities across India.
