- CF Moto retro mini bike under development
- Gets 126cc air-cooled engine
- Global unveil likely this year
CF Moto is working on a small but cool-looking retro motorcycle. This motorcycle is likely to be based on the Papio – a bike that competes with the Honda Grom in the European market.
According to leaked Chinese type-approval documents, the Papio XO-1 is based on the standard model. As a result, it gets the same chassis along with a similar 126cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. But the suspension is brand new, and so is the overall styling, which makes it look cool and aspirational.
In terms of cycle parts, this CF Moto gets upside-down forks at the front and an old-school fairing with twin circular headlights but with a modern touch. The seat looks wide and comfortable, but the pillion is slightly higher than usual. Even the pillion footpegs are odd. Regarding rider comfort, the overall seating ergonomics are aggressive, thanks to the low clip-on handlebar and rear-set pegs.
This CF Moto motorcycle will likely make its official debut later this year, but sadly, it won’t come to India due to its small engine. There’s no market for such a premium, low-displacement motorcycle in the country, but a 200cc variant could undoubtedly work in India.
