- CFMoto 450SR launched in Australia
- Gets a 450cc, parallel-twin engine
- No word about its India launch
CFMoto has launched the 450SR in Australia a few months after unveiling the bike globally.
Now, the 450SR draws inspiration from the SR-C21 concept that was showcased at the EICMA in 2021. However, it bears strong resemblance to the Keeway 300SR that we have in India. The CFMoto 450SR’s design language is aggressive all through and it sports a full-fairing with lines and creases along with sharply designed LED DRLs and headlamp. Even the rear section for instance is tapered for a sporty appeal. What’s more interesting about its design though is the inclusion of aero winglets.
While these not only look unique, they are a first for any motorcycle in the segment. Speaking of which, the CFMoto 450SR goes up against the KTM RC 390 and the Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 400 as well. While the KTM is powered by a single-cylinder motor, the R3 and Ninja 400 sport parallel-twin engines, just like the 450SR.
The motorcycle’s 450cc parallel-twin engine is capable of churning out a healthy 50bhp. While the concept it is inspired by gets a full-system exhaust from SC Project and carbon-ceramic brakes, the 450SR makes do with a stock setup.
Nonetheless,CFMoto has kitted out the 450SR with features like dual-channel ABS, full-LED lighting and a TFT display as well. It might not come with the quickshifter or traction control system like the RC 390, but it surely does not look underequipped.
Now, as for its India launch plans, there is no confirmation about the same. CFMoto was present in the country for a brief period but currently does not retail its models here. And with absolutely no news about its comeback, the 450SR is unlikely to be launched here anytime soon.
