CFMoto has updated its product portfolio in the Malaysian market with the launch of the 250SR. The quarter-litre, fully-faired motorcycle has been launched at RM 15,800 (Rs 2.80 lakh) in the country. The company will also offer a special-edition model, which will be limited to just 30 units, for RM 17,800 (Rs 3.16 lakh). The CFMoto 250SR is imported to Malaysia via the CKD route.
The quarter-litre model uses a 249.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 27.6bhp at 9,750rpm and 22Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission.
The feature list comprises of full-LED lighting, colour TFT-display, split-style seats and an underbelly exhaust. The suspension setup on the 250SR includes 37mm upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. Anchoring department is handled by single discs on both wheels while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS.
A slightly larger displacement version of the motorcycle, the 300SR, is expected to reach the Indian shores, although there’s still no official announcement.
