- CFMoto 650NK, 650GT, and 650MT BS6 launching this week
- Changes will be limited to their engine
- Online bookings have already commenced
CFMoto is all set to launch the BS6-compliant models of its 650cc line-up in India this week. The series comprises three models including the 650MT touring model, 650GT sport tourer and the 650NK street bike. Online bookings for the BS6 iteration of these bikes have already commenced at Rs 5,000.
After discontinuing the BS4 products last year, CFMoto launched the 300NK BS6 in March this year. This KTM 390 Duke-rival hasn’t received any major update, apart from the changes in its engine. In all likelihood, the 650s will follow the same pattern by receiving alterations only in their powerplant.
Propelling the CFMoto 650NK, 650GT and the 650MT is a common 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 60bhp of power and 56Nm of peak torque in its BS4 guise. Even after the BS6-bound revisions, the power figures are likely to remain nearly the same. Even the cycle parts will remain unaltered. All 650s ride on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. While the NK and GT models get telescopic forks, the MT version gets more premium inverted units. A single disc at both ends with J Juan callipers are employed on all models for braking.
Coming to the pricing, all the bikes will demand a marginal premium of about Rs 5,000-8,000 over their respective BS4 derivatives. Once launched, the CFMoto 650NK will compete against the Kawasaki Z650 while the 650GT and the 650MT will go up against the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Versys 650, respectively.
