- 675SR showcased at the CFMoto Day 2023
- Expected to use a 674.2cc triple-cylinder motor
- Production spec model is likely to debut at EICMA 2023
Chinese bike maker CFMoto has revealed a new supersport motorcycle at the CFMoto Day 2023 festival at the ZhuZhou International Circuit. The CFMoto 675SR uses an in-line triple-cylinder motor.
Patent applications of the engine design show that the CFMoto 675SR’s engine is based on the 450SR’s 449.5cc motor, albeit with an additional cylinder. If CFMoto uses the same bore and stroke numbers (72mm x 55.2mm) as the 450SR, the engine on the 675SR could displace 674.2cc.
CFMoto claims that the motorcycle will offer a peak torque of 100Nm/litre, which means the 674.2cc engine is likely to produce 68Nm. This is a good number compared to the MV Agusta F3 675’s 71Nm, and Triumph Daytona 675’s 73Nm. That said, the CFMoto 675SR is expected to produce close to 100bhp, compared to the 126-128bhp on the Triumph and MV Agusta.
Despite the camouflaged wrap, it is pretty evident that the CFMoto 675SR will feature a sporty design with a layered fairing and a lot of sharp design elements. The motorcycle is likely to use a tubular chromoly steel trellis frame.
The production-spec CFMoto 675SR is expected to make its debut at EICMA 2023. Once launched, the 675SR will rival the likes of the Yamaha R7, Aprilia RS660, and the Honda CBR650R.
