CFMoto recently updated its European portfolio with the introduction of 700 CL-X Sport naked roadster. The details about this middleweight motorcycle coming to India are not available yet, and we do not expect to see it on our shores in the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, we explain the new CFMoto 700 CL-X Sport in detail here.
Design
The new CFMoto 700 CL-X Sport borrows a few styling elements from the 700 CL-X Heritage. These include a headlamp, a tail lamp, and fenders. However, features unique to the Sport model include a clip-on-style handle with bar-end mirrors, a flat seat, rear cowl, five-spoke alloy wheels, and a side-slung exhaust. The round headlight is surrounded by a body-coloured cowl. The rear tyre hugger-mounted numberplate gives the tail section a clean look and enhances the premium styling of the 700 CL-X Sport.
Engine
The mechanical specifications include a 693cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 74bhp of power and 68Nm of peak torque. The output is similar to the Heritage model. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Features
The feature list on the motorcycle comprises full-LED lighting all around and a digital instrument cluster. The single-pod console uses an LCD screen in a round shape. Other electronics on the motorcycle comprise two riding modes, a cruise control system, and self-cancelling turn indicators.
Hardware
The suspension tasks on the CFMoto 700 CL-X Sport are handled by 41mm KYB front forks. These are adjustable for preload and rebound. The setup at the rear includes a link-type monoshock. The anchoring setup includes twin rotors at the front and a single disc at the back – both grabbed by Brembo Stylema callipers.
