- CFMoto introduces second CL-X model in Europe
- Gets cafe racer-like styling
- No word about its India launch
CFMoto might have gone quiet in India after showcasing its 650 and 300 range in the country. But overseas, the Chinese manufacturer seems to be making progress. It recently introduced the 700 CL-X Sport in Europe.
While styling like the headlamp, tail lamp, and fenders are the same as its sibling, the 700 CL-X Heritage, the Sport does features some changes to set itself apart. First off, the conventional handlebars have been swapped for low, clip-ons that come with bar-end mirrors. Then, the motorcycle also gets a small, flat seat with a cowl and five-spoke alloys that are exclusive to the CL-X Sport.
However, under the different attire is the same 693cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that dishes out a decent 74bhp and 68Nm. Even the electronics package is good enough and lists two riding modes, cruise control, self-canceling indicators and an LCD instrument cluster. On the hardware front, the CFMoto 700 CL-X Sport gets 41mm KYB forks with preload and rebound adjustability meanwhile the rear rides on a link-type monoshock. Braking is done by premium Brembo Stylema calipers at both ends.
Now, the CFMoto CL-X is unlikely to make its way to India. However, if you are looking for a neo-retro flavoured motorcycle in similar displacement, you have the Kawasaki Z650 RS, Honda CB650R as well as the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 in the country.
