- CFMoto 800MT to be available in Malaysia soon
- 800MT adventure tourer available in two variants
- Indian launch details unavailable yet
CFMoto has confirmed via its social media channels that it will update its Malaysian portfolio with the launch of the 800MT adventure tourer soon. The new model from the Chinese two-wheeler maker was revealed in early-2021.
The new CFMoto MT800 is based on the KTM 790 Adventure. The mechanical specifications on the 800MT will include the same 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the 790 Adventure. The power and torque output numbers for the MT800 are not available yet. The motor, for reference, produces 95bhp and 88Nm of peak torque on the Austrian ADV tourer.
The Chinese motorcycle will be sold in two variants – road-biased and off-road focused. The former will use alloy wheels while the latter will feature wire-spoke wheels. In terms of design, both motorcycles feature a sleek LED headlight, a beak style front, big fuel tank, split-style seats, a tall-set exhaust, and a windscreen.
The company has not announced any plans to introduce the MT800 in the Indian market, and we do not expect to see this CFMoto motorcycle on our shores anytime soon. Meanwhile, the company is updating its existing products in the Indian market to comply with the newest emission norms. The BS6-compliant CFMoto 300NK has already arrived in India while the 650NK, 650MT, and the 650GT are available for booking.
