- Shares most of its hardware with KTM 790 Duke
- Design is nearly identical to the NK-C22 concept
- Official launch timeline isn’t known yet
The images and details of CFMoto’s upcoming middle-weight street bike, the 800NK, have leaked on the internet ahead of its official global debut. The motorcycle is the production model of the NK-C22 concept and it shares a host of its hardware with the KTM 790 Duke.
The leaked images reveal that the production model hasn’t segued much from the concept on the design front. It has retained aggressive and radical styling with the ferocious-looking front fascia, a sculpted fuel tank with sharp extensions and radiator cowls, and a pointed and raked tail section. Interestingly, this design is perhaps the creation of Kiska Studios, the same design house which has crafted multiple KTM offerings.
Now, most of the mechanical components of the 800NK are the same as the KTM 790 Duke including the 799cc, LC8c parallel-twin engine that makes around 99bhp. Similarly, the kerb weight of 186kg, WP suspension setup, and J. Juan brakes are the same as the Austrian machine. The instrumentation, however, is different on the CFMoto as it gets a larger TFF dash which should be data-extensive showing information about all the electronic aids it will incorporate.
The global launch timeline of the CFMoto 800NK isn’t known yet. Whenever it debuts, it will compete against the likes of the new Honda CB750 Hornet and Suzuki GSX-8S. As of now, the chances of the bike coming to India are pretty slim.
