- To be sold in two variants
- Based on the KTM 790 Adventure
- India launch details not available yet
Chinese manufacturer, CFMoto has revealed its newest product, the MT800 ADV tourer. The motorcycle is based on the KTM 790 Adventure, however, unlike the Austrian ADV tourer, the MT800 will be offered in two variants – road-biased and off-road focused. The road-biased version will receive alloy wheels while the off-road version will use wire-spoke wheels.
Styling cues include an aggressive front fascia that features an LED headlight, a beak style design, and a windscreen. Other design features include a big fuel tank, split-style seats, and a tall-set exhaust. The motorcycle in the photograph is equipped with fog lights, comprehensive crash protection, knuckle guards, panniers, and a top box; although they are most likely optional accessories.
The mechanical specifications will include the same 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the KTM 790 Adventure. The motor produces 95bhp and 88Nm on the Austrian ADV tourer. The power and torque output numbers for the MT800, however, are not available yet.
The hardware on the motorcycle includes upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. The braking setup includes twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back. The safety net will include ABS and traction control system.
