- To be available in two variants (alloy and wire-spoke wheels)
- Production-ready model likely to debut in 2021
- Shares its underpinnings with the KTM 790 Adventure
The CFMoto MT800 ADV tourer has been spotted on several occasions in the past. The motorcycle was seen with an alloy and wire-spoke wheel setup. Now, leaked patent images give a detailed look at the upcoming ADV tourer from the Chinese brand.
The MT800 will share its platform with the KTM 790 Adventure. The Chinese ADV tourer would’ve debuted by now but the timeline was disrupted due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We may see the production-ready vehicle next year.
The motorcycle, as seen in the spy photographs, will be sold in two variants – alloy wheels and wire-spoke wheels. In terms of design, the MT800 will come with a semi-fairing design along with a tall windscreen, a short beak, twin-pod headlight, knuckle guards, and radiator shrouds. The motorcycle also gets a split-style saddle, a tall position for the exhaust, and an aluminium swingarm. CFMoto will offer several optional accessories to further customise the MT800. The Bluetooth-connectivity feature could be among the optional extras.
Mechanical specifications will include a 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. The hardware setup will comprise of upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension duties. The anchoring tasks will be handled by twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back.
While the details are scarce, the new CFMoto MT800 could make its global debut in 2021.
