- SR450 based on SR-C21 concept
- Uses a 450cc parallel-twin engine
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Chinese manufacturer, CFMoto has gone on an unveiling spree, showcasing new models in different segments. One of these is the fully-faired SR450.
The CFMoto SR450 draws styling inspiration from the SR-C21 concept shown at the EICMA in 2021. While CFMoto already has the 300SR, the SR450 takes on a more futuristic approach to design. If you think the SR450 looks familiar, you are correct because the motorcycle is eerily similar to the Keeway 300SR sold in India. To read the full-ride review on that motorcycle, head to the expert reviews section. Coming back to the CFMoto SR450, the motorcycle sports an aggressive design and a sleek front end accentuated by the LED DRLs and headlamp.
It even gets the same grey, black and red colour scheme as the concept it is based on. Interestingly though, it retains the aero winglets on the fairing- a first for its segment.
Well, gone are the carbon ceramic brakes and the full-system exhaust from SC project. And even though the clip-on handlebars are now lowered, the production bike does get them. Now under the fairing rests a 450cc, parallel-twin engine with an output of 50bhp which puts it in direct contention with the KTM RC390. In terms of features, the CFMoto SR450 comes with ABS, full-LED lighting and a TFT display with a bold readout.
While CFMoto was present in India for a short duration, the company does not retail its models here. And with no news about its comeback, the SR450 is unlikely to make its way to our market anytime soon.
