- CFMoto 800MT launched in the UK
- Powered by a KTM-sourced 799cc parallel-twin motor
- Gets fully adjustable front forks
CFMoto has launched its latest adventure motorcycle, the 800MT, in the UK. It’s priced at GBP 10,399 (approximately Rs 9.93 lakh excluding taxes). It rivals the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport, BMW F 900 XR and other ADVs of the segment.
The CFMoto 800MT appears to be quite brawny, courtesy of its flat, Tiger-like fascia. The LED headlights resemble Triumph Tiger’s unit but are a bit more modern. It’s topped by a transparent windscreen and the fairing gets protective guards as well. CFMoto will offer the 800MT in two trims: sport and touring. The latter retails at GBP 11,099 (approximately Rs 10.60 lakh sans taxes).
Both the models get the same design and the same motor too – 799cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor that dishes out 95bhp and 77Nm. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox and comes with a bi-directional quickshifter too (exclusive to the top end model).
The bike rides on fully adjustable USD front forks from KYB and an adjustable monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comes from J Juan – dual 320mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The base model rides on alloys while the touring trim gets spoked wheels.
While CFMoto offers its middleweight sports touring bikes in India, it’s unlikely to bring the 800MT here anytime soon.
