- CFMoto CL-C Low Ride and CL-X Spirit unveiled
- Powered by 450cc twin-cylinder engine
- Could be introduced next year
Chinese manufacturer CFMoto has showcased two new concepts in Italy that are likely to go into production sometime next year.
These two concept motorcycles called the CL-C Low Ride and CL-X Spirit are based on existing models. However, they offer retro-inspired styling and a somewhat radical take to it. Let us begin with the Low Ride. The motorcycle comes in a cruiser style with a relaxed riding position. Its teardrop-shaped tank, flat handlebar and floating seat add character while the chunky tyres and twin exhaust pipes complete the look. That said, the most interesting bit of the CFMoto CL-C Low Ride is its front suspension. It uses a monoshock fitted horizontally between the forks. While it is interesting to look at, its functionality is an amusing mystery.
Then there is the CL-X Spirit that takes its design inspiration from the 700 CL-X and offers off-road riding ability. Minimal in its styling, the Spirit leans towards scramblers of the past with a single-piece, ribbed seat, dual-purpose tyres and spoke wheels. Powering both would be a 450cc engine with a 270-degree crank like the rest of CFMoto’s 450 range.
The features list and other details are not known and is likely to be unveiled when the bikes hit production. While they might hit international markets soon, there is no word about them being launched in India.
