- 700 CL-X sports scrambler styling
- Is available in three variants
- Comes powered by a new 692cc, parallel-twin engine
- Likely to be launched in India next year
CFMoto has unveiled the 700 CL-X, its newest scrambler-styled offering. Patent images of the motorcycle had also been leaked before giving us an idea about the new motorcycle
The motorcycle is offered in three variants- CL-X Heritage, CL-X Adventure and CL-X Sport. The Adventure model rides on spoke wheels that are wrapped in dual-sport tyres. It also offers raised handlebars and comes with a large windscreen and panniers as optional equipment. The Heritage gets a tanned leather seat, gold detailing with a dual-tone paint scheme. The motorcycle has a comfortable riding position thanks to the wide handlebars and neutral set footpegs.
The CL-X Sport gets a café-racer bodystyle courtesy the lowered, clip-on handlebars with bar-end mirrors, a different seat and slight rear set footpegs. Moreover, the CL-X Sport rides on sticky Pirelli Diablo Rosso Super Corsa tyres that complete its appeal.
All three 700 CL-X models come with LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument console and a cruise control system as standard. The motorcycles come powered by a new 692cc, parallel-twin motor that is said to churn out 73bhp. Suspension duties are taken care of by inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear while braking is done by disc brakes at both ends with the safety net of a dual-channel ABS.
CFMoto is likely to bring the 700 CL-X range to India in the latter half of next year or by early 2021. The bikes, which are expected to be priced aggressively will be positioned above the 650MT and 650GT which are on sale in the country.
