- CFMoto 675SS launched in the US
- Powered by a 674.3cc, triple-cylinder engine
- Produces 95bhp and 70Nm
Chinese bike maker CFMoto has taken the wraps off its first supersport bike, which will rival the Triumph Daytona 660. The motorcycle in question is the all-new CFMoto 675SS, which has been launched in the US at USD 7,999.
CFMoto’s in-house developed 674.2cc, triple-cylinder motor powers the 675SS. It gets a 72mm bore and a 55.2mm stroke. The engine produces a maximum output of 95bhp at 11,000rpm and a peak torque of 70Nm. These figures are modest and more in line with the Daytona 660. In comparison, the now discontinued Daytona 675 developed 126bhp and 75Nm from its triple-cylinder motor.
Feature-wise, the CFMoto 675SS comes with a unidirectional quickshifter for upshifts, adjustable traction control system and dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle doesn’t get any ride modes but gets a five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
The motorcycle sports a layered fairing with aerodynamic winglets at the front and back to improve high-speed stability and cornering capabilities. It gets LED lighting all around. A Chromoly steel tubular frame underpins the 675SS, while the chassis is linked to a cast aluminium banana swingarm.
Meanwhile, suspension duties are carried out by fully adjustable KYB USD forks up front and a rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustability. The bike rides on 120/70 R17 front and 180/55 R17 rear tyres.
Given its power figures, the CFMoto 675SS could make for a decent alternative to the Triumph Daytona 660 in India. That said, CFMoto has no plans to launch the 675SS in our market.
