- CFMoto 450 MT production to commenced next year
- Would rival KTM 390 ADV and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
- No word about its India launch yet
CFMoto, the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer that has its presence in India a few years ago recently debuted the 450 MT adventure-tourer at the EICMA 2023. Now, reports suggest that the production of the motorcycle will commence in early 2024 with a global launch following suit.
When launched in international markets, the CFMoto 450 MT will go up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure. The 450 MT joins the stables with its other 450cc siblings that includes a street naked and sportbike as well. That said, it is expected to share the same 450cc, 270-degree engine with the 450NK. This unit offers around 46.9bhp on the street naked and is unlikely to change on the ADV. Off-road abilities come from long-travel suspension and a 21/17-inch wheel combo with dual-purpose tyres.
CFMoto has also ensured the design on the 450 MT is alluring. It seems to be inspired by Dakar motorcycles with its high-set beak, tapering fuel tank and slim rear section. It also gets a tall, vertically-stacked LED headlamp with crash guards wrapped all over its bodywork and engine. Then there is the addition of luggage racks and pannier stays as well.
While the CFMoto 450 MT is an interesting motorcycle, it is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon since the brand disappeared from the country after a brief stint.
