- To launch five motorcycles in India
- To have extensive dealer network across India
- Currently has 125cc and 312cc models in international markets
Chinese-owned two-wheeler manufacturer, Zontes Motorcycles has partnered with Adishwar Auto Ride India to enter the Indian market. The motorcycle manufacturer is already present in 55 countries, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Brazil, Malaysia, and Thailand, among others where it currently offers products in the 125cc and 310cc segments.
The press announcement by the brand further added that it plans to launch five products in the Indian market along with an extensive dealer network across the country. The details about the upcoming products are limited at present, but we expect to see the 125cc and 310cc motorcycles in our market.
The company’s 125cc portfolio comprises three models – 125G (neo-retro), 125U (roadster), and 125U1 (supermoto). The 310cc range, on the other hand, includes five products – 310T2 (ADV tourer), 310R2 (roadster), 310X2 GP (sports tourer), 310X2 (sports tourer), and 310V (cruiser).
One of the unique features of the spoke wheel versions is the cross-spoke design that enables the installation of tubeless tyres. Currently, this feature is only available on premium segment motorcycles sold in India. Other hardware includes full-LED lighting, upside-down front forks, rear monoshock, and disc brakes on both wheels. The mechanical specifications on the 310 range include a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 35bhp at 9,500rpm. The 125 series, on the other hand, draws 14.7bhp from its 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor.
Once launched, the 310 motorcycles will rival the likes of the BMW G 310 series and the KTM 390 range. The 125 range will rival the likes of the KTM 125 Duke in the Indian market.
