- Likely to introduce Yezdi in India sometime later next year.
- BSA brand most likely to be exported overseas.
Classic Legends, a Mahindra owned subsidiary plans to include two other names under its umbrella in the near future.
While we already knew about the inclusion of BSA Motorcycles from the company’s previous reveals, Classic Legends is also likely to introduce the legendary Yezdi brand name soon. The exact timeline is unknown but we can expect it to be launched sometime later next year or by 2020.
The BSA brand will be launched before a new Yezdi makes its debut in the Indian market. The former motorcycle is expected to be powered by either a 500cc or 750cc engine and will be exported overseas with India not being its main market. Meanwhile, the Yezdi used a 250cc motor back in the day and it will be interesting to see what Classic Legends has in store for the revival of the brand. Another Mojo based engine? Only time will tell.
On the other hand, the company reincarnated the Jawa brand in India with with three new motorcycles; the Jawa, the Jawa Forty Two and the Jawa Perak. The company plans to open 105 Jawa dealerships in the country by next year.We expect the manufacturer to also include a scrambler-styled motorcycle soon. The newly-launched Jawas taken on Royal Enfield’s 350cc range as well as UM Motorcycle’s Renegade range in terms of pricing.
