The third stage of the Dakar 2016 rally was held successfully from Termas Rio Hondo to Jujuy in Argentina as the weather improved. CS Santosh has managed to climb up the ranking table to the 79th position after a tough stage two. TVS Sherco riders are holding fort with both of them in the top 10 and Alain Duclos trailing the race leader by only 56 seconds.
CS Santosh has been off Twitter and we don’t mind it at all as the Indian ace seems to be busy belting it out there. The Suzuki of Spain seems to have managed to get the motorcycle performing better as Santosh managed to finish 61st in stage three to improve his overall ranking to 78. Stage four is enroute and the results are expected by the end of the day.
Team TVS Sherco riders are having a tough time maintaining their positions with Alain Duclos slipping to fifth position by the end of stage three. Pedrero Garcia has held on to his tenth position as Tobey Price lost his lead to the Slovakian rider Svitko. The battle for two-wheelers is being fought closely with the top five riders within a minute of each other.
Sebastien Loeb, who grabbed the lead after stage two yesterday, consolidated his position further with more than a five minute lead at the front. The WRC champion had come to his first Dakar with an intent to win and seems to be on his way to create history, again.
