The fourth stage of the 2021 Dakar Rally recently concluded with HT Rally Raid Husqvarna Racing’s Xavier De Soultrait leading the provisional overall rankings. Monster Energy Honda Team’s Joan Barreda Bort and Kevin Benavides respectively took the second and third spot in the provisional overall rankings at the end of stage four.
Meanwhile, Hero MotoSports Team Rally had a mixed day during stage four. While Joaquim Rodrigues finished stage four in the sixth position, CS Santosh suffered a crash and had to forfeit. Santosh was immediately attended to by the on-ground medical team and was found to be stable. In terms of provisional overall ranging, Rodrigues and Buhler stand 16th and 24th, respectively. Sherco Rally Team’s Lorenzo Santolino currently holds the 12th spot while Rui Goncalves and Harith Noah are 28th and 37th, respectively.
In the next stage of the rally, riders will move to Buryadah. The next stage will run for a total of 624km, including 419km of timed special.
