Monster Energy Honda Team 2021’s Joan Barreda Bort led the sixth stage of the 2021 Dakar Rally while Monster Energy Yamaha Rally Team's Ross Branch and Ktm Factory Team’s Daniel Sanders took the second and the third spot, respectively.
Hero Motosports Team Rally’s Joaquim Rodrigues finished the stage in the eighth spot while his team mate, Sebastian Bühler came 21st. Sherco TVS Team’s Lorenzo Santolino, who secured the fourth spot in the previous leg, came 17th in the sixth stage. Harith Noah and Rui Goncalves scored 27th and 35th position, respectively in the sixth stage.
Red Bull KTM Factory Team’s Toby Price leads the overall ranking at the end of the sixth stage. Monster Energy Honda Team 2021’s Kevin Benavides and Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo, respectively hold the second and the third spot in the overall ranking.
The participants will have a rest day to recover from the first half of the rally and reassess their strategy for the next half.
