Monster Energy Honda Team 2021 dominated the ninth stage of the Dakar Rally, securing the top three positions during the event. Kevin Benavides, Ricky Brabec, and Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo took the first, second, and third positions, respectively during the recently concluded stage of the motoring event.
Hero MotoSports Team Rally’s Joaquim finished the stage in the 13th position while his team mate, Sebastian Buhler secured the 24th position. Sherco Factory’s Lorenzo Santolino finished in the top-10, taking the seventh spot in this stage. His team mates, Harith Noah and Rui Goncalves took the 17th and 39th positions, respectively.
The overall rankings at the end of Stage Nine are led by Monster Energy Honda Team 2021’s Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo with his team mate Kevin Benavides in the second position. Red Bull KTM Factory Team’s Sam Sunderland is third in the overall rankings.
The next stage will be relatively shorter with 342km of special to arrive at the next bivouac at Al-Ula.
