- Luciano Benavides won Stage 11 of Dakar 2023

Luciano Benavides of Husqvarna Factory Racing clinched the top step of the podium at the end of Stage 11 of Dakar Rallt 2023, finishing the stage in 2 hours 57 minutes and 59 seconds. Meanwhile, Daniel Sanders of Red Bull Gasgas Factory Racing and Toby Price of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team finished the race in the second and third positions, respectively.
Hero Motosports Team Rally continued to show promising performance and after winning two stages of the 2023 season, the team has secured two positions in the top 10 rankings of Stage 11. Sebastian Buhler finished the stage in sixth place while his teammate, Franco Caimi took the ninth spot. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Santolino of Sherco Factory completed Stage 11 in the eighth position.
The first day of the marathon stage was a 428km ride from Shaybah, of which 274km formed the timed special section. As part of the tricky marathon stage, the competitors were devoid of any access to assistance trucks or mechanics at the bivouac, and any mechanical issues on the motorcycles were serviced by the riders themselves.
Stage 12 will take the riders back to Shaybah from the Marathon bivouac. This 375km ride will go through the Empty Quarter. The second half of the marathon stage will involve riding in the dune.
