- Adrien Metge from TVS Racing wins 2019 Desert Storm
- Hero Motosports’ CS Santosh takes scond place
- Final stage witnessed varied weather conditions and consisted of 220kms
TVS Racing’s Adrien Metge takes home a commanding win at the 2019 Desert Storm which was held in Rajasthan from 7-11 May.
Metge’s times were indisputable ever since the start of the rally with a 9 minute lead in the first two stages itself. While Hero Motorsports CS Santosh won the final leg on Saturday, Adrien Metge took the lead with an advantage of 5 minutes and 35 seconds.
TVS Racing had two riders on podium as Abdul Wahid Tanveer finished 17 minutes behind Santosh, finishing third. His team mate, R Nataraj came in fourth while privateer Vishwas SD finished fifth. Aishwarya Pissay from TVS Racing completed the rally in sixteenth position.
The final stage held on Saturday had participants battling it out across 220kms in the dunes of Jaisalmer. With the city witnessing overnight rain followed by morning dust and ever soaring temperatures, the final leg ensured to test the riders and their machines to the limit.
