Amidst the slew of pranks and April Fool jokes, DSK Hyosung has launched the GT250R in the GT650R's avatar. It might be a little difficult for our readers to believe this, but, no, this is not a gag that we or the company is playing. The new GT250R boasts of the same clothes as the GT650R.
The Hyosung GT250R will now be available in three colours- Red Titanium, White Titanium and Black Titanium each of which painted in a three-toned shade. This is the same colour option the GT650R is available in. Since the GT250R has the same dimensions as that of the GT650R, it will now be difficult to differentiate between the two bikes. However, prospective GT250R owners will have the option of passing off their 250cc bike as a higher capacity 650cc bike.
Apart from the decals, there are no changes to the mechanical bits. The GT250R will continue to be powered by the 250cc V-Twin motor that churns out 28bhp of power and 22Nm of torque. The mill is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
We had reported earlier about the motorcycle displayed at the Pune showroom and now the company has officially revealed these details. DSK Hyosung has launched this bike with a new look in a bid to appeal to more customers in India. The price of the GT250R remains unchanged and costs Rs 2,76,000 (Ex-showroom Pune). This retails to Rs 2,90,000 in Mumbai. You can check the on-road price of this motorcycle in your city by clicking here.
