DSK-Hyosung has decided to reduce the prices of all their motorcycles following the slash in excise duty to 8 per cent from previous 12 per cent.Their price reduction ranges between Rs 4,000 and Rs 20,000 making it the first premium motorcycle manufacture to reduce the price.
"We at DSK Hyosung welcome the excise duty reduction announcement, which comes as a great relief to the Automobile Industry that has been reeling under economic slowdown. To that effect we have decided to pass on the benefit of the same to our patrons in the country and are happy to announce an ex-showroom price reduction from Rs. 4,000 - Rs. 20,000 across our entire product portfolio. We are sure this reduction will stimulate the growth in the sector and improve market sentiments,.” said Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Hyosung.
The company currently sells the Aquila 250, GT250R, GT650R, GT650N, Aquila Pro and the ST7 in the India market through the completely-knocked-down (CKD). The company is contemplating to launch the recently showcased GD250N this year and is also in the process of setting up a new manufacturing plant in the Karad region in Maharashtra.
