Ducati India has finally unveiled their most anticipated super sportmotorcycle – the 959 Panigale at India Bike Week 2016.
Scheduled to be launched in the next couple of months, the 959 Panigale will join its bigger cousin – the 1299 Panigale in the growing Indian superbike market. This motorcycle is easily one of the best looking bikes available in India right now, however, when it comes to the pricing, it isn’t exactly cheap.
Powering this Italian machine is a new 955cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 157bhp at 10,500rpm and peak torque of 107Nm, which is an 8.4Nm increases. The increase in power is a result of increase in stroke from 57.2mm to 60.8mm, however, the bore stands at 100mm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox which transfers power to the rear wheel with the help of the slipper clutch.
Just like other rest of the Ducatis, the 959 Panigale is loaded with some incredible electronics like the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Riding Mode technology including Ride-by-Wire, triple-stage Bosch ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC).
The bookings of the Ducati 959 Panigale will begin in the next couple of weeks. In terms of pricing, we’re expecting the 959 Panigale to cost close to Rs 14 lakh.
