- Built to commemorate the Milan Design Week
- Sports carbon fibre and yellow highlights
- A one-off model, it is unlikley to come into production
Ducati has unveiled a one-off model based on the Diavel 1260 S called the Diavel 1260 S Materico.
The bike is built to commemorate the Milan Design Week. The Diavel 1260 S Materico comes in an aluminium-finished paint with carbon fibre on the fuel tank side panels and radiator shrouds. Ducati has changed the texture of the seat to give it a suede finish. The Diavel 1260 S Materico also gets yellow highlights on the air intakes and under the seat. Furthermore, the Materico gets black exhausts and unique 10-spoke alloy wheels.
The Diavel 1260 S Materico was conceptualised by designers from Lamborghini, VW, Ducati and Pirelli. Besides the cosmetic makeover, the bike hasn't been revised mechanically. It continues to be powered by a 1262cc, L-twin 'Testastretta' engine which produces 157bhp of power and 129Nm of torque.
Since it is built as a one-off, the Diavel 1260 S Materico is unlikely to go into production anytime soon or be introduced as a limited-edition model either. As for India, the standard Diavel 1260 S is expected to be launched here in the next couple of months.
