Ducati has launched its first foldable e-bike, the MG-20 in the international market. The company has added the MG-20 to its Urban e-Mobility lineup, and it is developed under license by MT Distribution. The electric bike is priced at Euro 1,599, which converts to Rs 1.42 lakh. The MG-20 will be available at Ducati dealerships, e-shops, specialised consumer electronics stores and major online stores from July 2021.
The new MG-20 gets a lean design with Ducati graphics on its sides. It is further offered with features like an LED headlight, a waterproof LCD display, three levels of assistance (12,18 and 25 kmph) and reflective strips on the 20-inch wheels to ensure rider safety at night. Furthermore, the foldable feature of the MG-20 will surely appeal to the customers looking out for a convenient and portable urban mobility solution.
The components of the e-bike like the frame, forks and rims are made of magnesium, a material that ensures lightness and solidity. The electric bike is powered by a 378Wh Samsung detachable battery integrated into the frame that delivers a range of 50km. The MG-20 is propelled by a 250W rear motor capable of recognising the road conditions. This electric motors lends it a top speed of 25kmph. While Ducati has launched the MG-20 in the international market, there's no official statement from the company about its launch in India.
