Ducati recently re-launched the V4 range in the Indian market starting at Rs 20.53 lakh for the base variant. The higher-spec V4 S version is priced at Rs 25.29 lakh. At a similar price, you could have three other motorcycles. Here is what the list looks like-
In a similar bodystyle as the Panigale V4 S is the MV Agusta F4. The bike is the flagship model in the Italian manufacturer’s line-up. The F4 gets an aggressive design language with sharp lines running all through the bodywork of the bike. It's trademark four underseat exhausts lend the MV Agusta F4 a unique look. Powering the bike is a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine, which produces 192bhp and 111Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. The bike is priced at Rs 27.80 lakh.
If the supersport Panigale V4 has too much of a commited riding position, you could have the Ducati Monster 1200 S. The streetfighter is the most technologically advanced bike in the Monster range. The exposed trellis frame, sculpted fuel tank, stubby, dual-outlet exhausts and the oval headlamp add to its raw appeal. At the heart of the bike is a 1198cc Testastretta L-twin engine which puts out 150bhp and 126Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. It is priced at Rs 24.63 lakh.
While the other two bikes in this list offer raw power and could be used on a track, the Indian Chief Vintage does quite the opposite. The bagger motorcycle offers a relaxed riding position fit for long hauls. The design of the bike has been inspired by Indian motorcycles from the '40 with the classic fenders and oodles of chrome. The Indian Chief Vintage is powered by a new Thunder Stroke 111 engine that churns out 161Nm of peak torque via a six-speed transmission. It is priced at Rs 25.57 lakh.
The Ducati Panigale V4 faces direct competition from the Yamaha YZF-R1 and the BMW S1000RR. How does the bike fare against its rivals? Find out HERE.
