- It pays homage to the legendary 916 supersport
- Limited to 500 units
Ducati is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its iconic 916 model by unveiling a new limited-edition version of the Panigale V4 SP2 sportbike. Limited to just 500 units, this model of the Panigale boasts a host of premium add-ons that make it exotic and special.
The Ducati 916 started the design lineage for its successors, including the current-gen Panigale models. The new 30th Anniversary trim of the V4 SP2 is adorned with a livery created by Centro Stile Ducati. It pays homage to the bike Ducati’s race machine that won the Superbike World Championship with Carl Fogarty in 1999. These tributary visual elements include the iconic tricolour on the fairing, number 1 on the front fascia, and black patches resembling the air ducts of the 916. Moreover, the tank cover features a laurel logo in gold colour and a logo with a silver and gold outline on the fairing with a 3D effect.
Adding to its exclusive are carbon fibre elements like wings, mudguard, brake calipers scoops, and exhaust heat shield. Even the five-spoke wheels are made up of carbon fibre. What’s more, this Panigale V4 SP2 has been souped up with STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, Brembo Stylema brake calipers, Billet aluminium adjustable footpegs with carbon heel plates, data analyser kit with GPS module, a special mirror hole cover and fuel filler cap, and a certificate of authenticity for every buyer.
Ducati might bring a few of these 500 units of the Ducati V4 SP2 30th anniversary edition to India, certainly with an exorbitant price tag.
