- Streetfighter V2 under development
- Will borrow engine from Panigale V2
- Likely to be unveiled at 2021 EICMA
Ducati is gearing up to showcase their latest creation – the Streetfighter V2 – a younger sibling of the Streetfighter V4. Interestingly, a prototype was recently spotted testing in Italy.
This Streetfighter V2 is likely to use the engine from the Panigale V2 – a 955cc twin-cylinder motor and it should make around 155bhp. The gearbox, the tech and some of the cycle parts could also be borrowed from the Panigale V2.
Unfortunately, the leaked picture doesn’t show much of the bike, but we can expect the smaller Streetfighter to carry some major styling elements from the elder sibling. But because it’s a bike with lesser displacement, the overall body proportions are likely to be much smaller.
We are expecting Ducati to unveil this new bike at the 2021 EICMA Show with official launch early next year. And yes, the Streetfighter V2 will also come to India and share the showroom space with the Streetfighter V4.
