- Signs nine-time world champion Antonio Cairoli
- Will debut at the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship
- November debut likely
Ducati has just announced its intention to enter the world of motocross racing. This makes it the second European company after Triumph to enter this intense sport.
The Italian brand signed a deal with a nine-time Motocross World Champion Antonio Cairoli. He will help the brand develop new motocross bikes and also test them. The company hasn’t revealed many details about its upcoming bikes, but it did confirm the presence of a Desmodromic valve system on the new bikes.
Ducati also released a new video on its official channel, and that video did have a motocross motorcycle. This model could be a test mule being ridden by Antonio himself. However, this detail can’t be confirmed as of now. The company plans to make its official debut at the 2024 Italian Motocross Championship, so there’s a little chance of the final production bike reveal taking place at next month’s EICMA show in Italy.
