Ducati has become the official motorcycle supplier for the FIM MotoE World Cup. MotoE is an electric racing class which is included in certain rounds of MotoGP World Championship.
This new deal with FIM will begin from 2023 season and will continue to be the sole supplier till 2026. The previous supplier, Energica will not be extending its contract post 2022 season.
Ducati’s top boss clearly said that all the learnings from MotoE will be used to developed road production motorcycles. The first proper electric motorcycle is expected to hit the roads by 2030. Currently, the Italian brand has partnered with Thok E-Bikes to create a new range of Ducati pedal-assist bikes.
