You read that right! Ducati has just unveiled their first electric vehicle in the form of a scooter. It’s called the CUx Special Edition Ducati and has been developed by Super Soco, a two-wheeler startup from UK.
The scooter gets its power from a hub-mounted 2700W Bosch motor and has a top speed of 45kmph top speed. In one full charge, the scooter can be ridden for about 48kms. The battery can be removed as well as rechargeable and it could take up to 8 hours.
The scooter sports the traditional red and white Ducati livery which makes it very attractive. Plus, the all LED lighting system along with the LCD instrument cluster that makes the scooter more modern and tech friendly. There are other features like keyless smart system, anti-theft alarm and smartphone integration.
This Ducati scooter can be bought for 2299 pounds (Rs 2.05 lakhs), but no in India. This model will be sold in UK for now, and eventually will be made available in few other European countries. We can expecting Ducati to create more action in the EV space, before unveiling the rumoured electric big bike.
